Grounded
PHOTOGRAPHY
Grounded works with farmers to develop regenerative businesses. These businesses establish a healthier and more profitable balance between nature and agriculture while shortening the value chain between producers and consumers. We are taken to beautiful and remote places around Southern Africa in order to document, create and visualize Grounded’s important work with farmers and their interactions with the landscape.
Etienne deKock
PHOTOGRAPHY
Our work for Etienne never feels like work. We spend hours listening to Etienne’s stories while documenting his process in stills & video, allowing the imagery to naturally present itself, and we have a great time doing it.

The Beach Co-op
ILLUSTRATION
The Beach Co-op is a not-for-profit company. Their mission is to eliminate, reuse, redesign and recycle single-use plastic. We created a brand that strove to draw on the beauty of the natural world to inspire people to want to create change rather than use scare tactics which we believe to be counter productive. To this end, we used beautiful watercolour illustrations to set the tone.
Sinako Urban Farms
VIDEO
What a privilege to work with such insightful, caring human beings. This video on urban farming was both tough and rewarding and we hope that there are many more to come. This project strove to show what can be done with limited resources and was shot on an iPhone with basic sound recording equipment. (We added a drone shot at the end as we felt it added huge value to the community to see their landscape from an aerial perspective.)
Abalobi
VIDEO
Abalobi is playing an important role in the fishing industry by working closely with small scale fishers to promote resource stewardship, food security, gender equity and socio-economic equality. We were lucky enough to join them for a journey up the coast to listen to the stories of small scale fishers and their families. We also created a video for a Kickstarter campaign looking to document these stories and traditional recipes.
